It is one of my favorite quotes (adapted) from James Clear and his book "Atomic Habits," that if you are trying to be consistent about ANY-THING in your life as in a daily practice CONSISTENTLY doing your thing is HELLA important. Yes, I said hella as a throw back to my days living in San Francisco 🫣! Think of your body / mind / soul as a cup / vessel / pot. My yoga teacher, Shiva, refers to this as a soma pot. Everyday life force/ joy ETC fills up the cup and other things drain it away. That's just life. It's all good, you got this. But you also have to know, that you CONTROL the filling up of the cup. AND EVEN MORE important there are some things that drain your life force that you CANNOT CONTROL. Now for some fun. Go grab a piece of paper ( a real one , not a notes tab in your phone - I am serious!). Make two columns at the top: one column is (you pick what works) Energizers / + Energy ; second column is Enervators / - Energy or go REAL simple and do the "+ " for one column and "-" other side. Take 1-2-3 minutes and do this! Yup, now. I'll wait 🌊. Look at this list - do MORE ENERGIZERS - and do LESS enervators. And if you have lots of energy vampires sucking your life force - if you can't change them - do more energizers to fill up your cup. Or maybe you have some things in your life you want to change????? Hiya and happy new moon and almost solstice!!! I feel like the world is vivid and so exciting for Christmas and the holidays. In my house of young boys, 8 and 12, its very magical and sometimes super LOUD! Whether its their joy on the trampoline or the Alvin and the Chipmunks songs (or now my older one is into some Metallica now)on Alexa at full blast… You get the picture. ‘Tis the season of self care, Reader! I know you think you don’t have that 75 minutes to take for yourself or that you don’t really know anything about yoga or maybe you just figure there is “so much to be done right now…” Honestly you can definitely dial in the can’t or won’t on ANYTHING this holiday season. But for this - something similar - MAKE THE TIME. MAKE IT IMPORTANT. Schedule it on your calendar to visit your favorite yoga class / body worker / healer / or my personal favorite get...
